The New APS Precision Surface Grinding Machine

This Superior Precision surface grinder has been developed & designed in the UK by a market leader in grinding technology to European standards and requirements, and offers a cost effective solution to your precision toolroom grinding needs.
Its robust construction, low friction saddle with wide support, ensures high quality and a rigid stable workstation.

• The Instrument Quality control panel, fitted to all models, is ergonomically positioned, operator friendly, and has a Touch Sensitive operation.
  
  
• There is a 2 rate Hand Pulse Generator and 2 rates of intermittent or continuous down feeds.
  
  
• PLC controlled to give logical and clear, sophisticated cycles.
  
  
• Both metric & imperial measurements are selectable as a standard feature. Also built in controls for powered magnetic chuck and coolant.
  
  
• The machine carries a two year parts & labour warranty with a planned maintenance service contract.

The vertical slide is constructed using highly sensitive, linear bearing guideways. They support a Heavy Duty direct drive ball bearing spindle with the choice of 3hp or 5hp motors.
The filtered and monitored no loss gravity fed Lubrication system feeds the low friction table & cross slides. High accuracy, long life ballscrews drive the downfeed and crossfeed and are adequately protected against abrasive wear & tear.

APS - P  Model    Precision Surface Grinder
The New APS - P models have all of the above and also includes -

• Servo driven Ballscrew on Crossfeed & Downfeed.
• Hydraulic table with external tank producing minimum heat.
• Crossfeed digitised reversal points accurate to within 1 micron.
• Encoder feedback Digital Readout (DRO) on Crossfeed & Downfeed.
• Intermittant & Continuous reversing saddle.
• Intermittant & Continuous 2 rate downfeed with selectable retract.
• Coolant system and Service fittings.

APS - S  Model    Precision Surface Grinder
The Revolutionary APS - S has all of the above with the additional -

• All 3 Axis are servo driven through high accuracy, super precision ground ballscrews.
• Hydraulics removed completely to give the ultimate in thermal stability.
• Table & Crossfeed digitised reversal points accurate to within 1 micron.
• Customised Software to suit your specific applications.
• Creep feed Software and guarding available.

All Models are also available with Fanuc CNC controls, allowing for more complicated grinding applications, including multiple pitching, sophisticated profiling and 3 axis interpulation.
